Georgetown – Clark Research Symposium 2025
Oct 24
RM 440 - 4th Floor, Rafik B. Hariri Building
The Georgetown-Clark Symposium is a joint research symposium with the Steers Center and the A. James Clark Foundation. The symposium brings together researchers from around the globe to discuss current research and topics on the future of real estate and real assets.
On October 24, 2025, the Georgetown–Clark Symposium on Global Real Assets gathered leading global academic researchers in real assets to share their cutting-edge research insights on infrastructure and real estate finance.
Presentations and discussions covered how tax incentives are shaping US energy infrastructure, how environmental land-use rules can affect property values, and how innovative insurance tools could help sustain affordable housing. The symposium also discussed how rapid mortgage rate hikes can disrupt the financial performance of multifamily housing projects, and the risks from rising exposure of regional banks to commercial real estate.
We thank participating researchers from many academic institutions and agencies in the DMV area as well as the presenters and discussants’ academic institutions:
