M-RACC is the annual real assets case competition among Georgetown University undergraduate, MBA (FT and Flex) and MS-Global Real Assets students. The case competition provides an applied experience for students interested in learning more about the real assets industry, gain experience presenting to an Investment Committee, and create a supportive environment where students can practice for the national real estate case competitions.

This year’s McDonough Real Assets Case Competition put students to the test on real valuation work. This year’s challenge focused on “Ashburn Data Center – A Data Center Case Study,” drafted by Steers Center faculty member Jeff Foster, which tasked undergraduate and graduate participants with assessing a potential acquisition in one of the world’s most strategically important data center markets. Student teams built valuations, pressure tested assumptions, and presented their investment theses to a panel of industry leaders and alumni.

Congratulations to this year’s winning team: Daniel Leung (MS-GRA’26), Tyler DeClercq (MBA’26), Akhil Jain, P.E. (MBA’27), and Matthew Allgor (MBA’27).

The competition remains a cornerstone of our approach to experiential learning, and we are grateful to our judges and partners for supporting the next generation of real assets talent.

Thank you to this year’s judges: Andrew Lohrfink (B’12), Samuel Goodman (MBA’21), Jacob Denney (MBA’24), Stephen Crozier, MSF (MSF’24), Pack Janes (MBA’18), Jeffrey Gingell (MBA’24), Alex Tesoriero (B’14), Colin J.M.
